What is the difference between a Blessing Circle and a Baby Shower or Bridal Shower?
In recent times, there has been a fundamental shift from traditional celebrations to current day commercialized gift-giving while entertaining guests. The deeply profound meaning and connection to sisterhood has disappeared. A Blessing Circle is a time for celebration of the rite-of-passage that women embark upon. It creates an intimate opportunity for sharing blessings, wisdom, love, and support to the honored woman to prepare her emotionally and spiritually for upcoming phase of life.
A Mother to Be Blessing Circle is all about nurturing and honoring the mother to be by filling her up with an abundance of love and confidence as she awaits the arrival of her baby. Her closest sisters gather together to spend time with her, sharing stories and wisdom to encourage and relieve any fears of the impending birth.
A Bridal Blessing Circle is beautiful & unique gathering of women to have fun, celebrate, and empower the Bride to Be on the journey that lies ahead of her. Her closest sisters come together to share dreams, hopes, wisdom, and laughter accompanied by love and positivity.
While some women will choose to attend a Blessing circle in place of a hosted baby shower, bridal shower, or bachelorette party - some may choose to do both. Blessing Circles provide an alternative option for those who are seeking to experience an unforgettable sacred celebration to honor tradition and sisterhood.
Are Blessing Circles Religious?
Blessing Circles are created to be inclusive environments however they can be secular, spiritual, or religious based on the honored woman. We make every effort to make sure guests feel included and comfortable. These details will be discussed further during the one-on-one consultation.
Where does the Blessing Circle take place?
We are a mobile service and are designed to set up our Sacred Sister Circle at a location of your choosing. If you do not have the ability to provide an accommodation, please contact us and we will work with you to find a fit for your event. Sacred White Tent Options are available only April-October. All locations must provide access to restrooms.
How long does a Blessing Circle last?
We will arrive at your location 1 hour before the event start time to set up and connect with you. We ask that you allow us the time and space to set up with no interference. The time the event starts according to your booking itinerary, the blessing circle will last 3 hours.
Who should attend my Blessing Circle?
This is a time in your life where you will may want those who are closest to you to gather in circle to witness, celebrate, and bless you as you transition into the next phase of life. This may also be a time for some that may want to forge new friendships or strengthen bonds. Women gathering in circle is a very powerful experience and often times can be a space where truths and moments of vulnerability take place. You will want to ensure there is trust built into the circle you are bringing together. You may invite up to 10 women.
When Should I hold my Blessing Circle?
Your blessing circle can be booked at the time of your choosing. Some women may hold their Blessing Circle in place of their Bridal party or Bachelorette party and in this case, it should be booked within the same timeline as those events in accordance to your wedding date. If you are choosing to do a Blessing Circle alongside these other events, you may want to look into spacing them apart.
If you are booking a Mother to Be Blessing Circle in place of a Baby Shower, you may want to hold it closer to the time of expected birth. If you are choosing to to both Blessing Circle and Baby Shower, you may want to space out these two events.
Coming of Age Blessing Circles may want to be scheduled before a young lady begins her menses and certainly may be held once she begins her menstrual cycle. We do ask that the young lady being celebrated is at least 9 years old. Individual cases may be considered.
Can only women attend a Blessing Circle?
Traditionally Sacred Circles, Blessingways, and Blessing Circles is a time for women and all who identify as a woman, come together in honor of the sacred feminine. We want to honor these traditions and allow women to gather together in circle and experience this rite-of-passage in its truest form.
How many women can attend?
You may invite up to 10 women outside of yourself. In order to fit comfortably and keep the blessing circle intimate, we need enough time and space to accommodate the lady of honor. We also require a minimum of 6 women including yourself.
Am I able to bring my own food?
Yes. While we do provide a deluxe platter spread of cheese, crackers, fresh fruit, and vegetables - you may provide food beyond what we are offering. Discussion of details will be covered during the one-on-one consultation. No alcohol is permitted before or during the blessing circle as this is a sacred ceremony. We encourage further celebration after the event!
Are consultations required & how much do they cost?
All consultations are FREE! I like to first speak with you over the phone to answer any immediate questions you may have. From there, we would schedule a coffee or tea date for our one-on-one, non-obligatory consultation. This relaxed meeting is where you and I (or whomever you would like to bring) review the services, available dates, discuss details, and together we will plan an unforgettable day of celebration!
Do I need to Book?
Yes. In order to ensure your date for the event - we require you to book in advance as possible. A $35.00 down-payment is required at the time of booking. You may pay in check, card, or Paypal - we do not take cash at this time.
What is the cost of booking and attending?
We require a non-refundable 35.00 downpayment at the time of booking and then the remaining amount one week before your booked event. You make pay in check , card, or Paypal - we do not take cash at this time. Each participant is welcome to pay their balance on our website.
What is your return policy?
You have up until 1 week before the booked date of the event to obtain a full refund not including the 35.00 non-refundable down payment. 3 days before the event will be a 50% refund not including the 35.00 non-refundable down payment. Cancellations the day of or up to the 3 day mark before the event will not receive a refund.
