Where The Wild Girls Grow…
The vision for a safe place for young girls to gather, connect, learn, and celebrate has always been in the fiber of Where The Wild Garden Grows. I am so honored and excited to announce that the fall of 2019 will be the opening sessions for our 6 week Body Positive Program for Teens & Tweens.
About The Cadets: Tessa Cadet and her husband Marc moved to Tennessee 2.5 years ago from Ohio to take a position as Professional House Parents, working with children and families in crisis in Chattanooga, where she counsels families to heal traumas or displacement within the family structure. Prior to their move, Marc taught English & French grade school through high school in Port-De-Paix, Haiti and Tessa was the Director of Education for a tutoring company that served as a provider for the Autism & Jon Peterson Scholarship Programs in Ohio. She obtained her BA in Fine Arts, with an emphasis on Education and Women of West African Culture and has done post graduate work in Family Counseling.
Tessa: I have over 10 years of teaching art in the private & public sectors. I have also directed art programs in several states including Hawaii, Ohio, and Tennessee. I have teamed up with organizations such as Center For Mindful Living, Partnership for Families, Children, Adults, Moms For Social Justice, St. Peter's Episcopal, The Chattery, and Sacred Roots Holistic Wellness to bring educational workshop and classes to our community. I am so excited to be bringing my experience and matching it with my vision for educating our young children!
